Barclaycard announces 3 year partnership with Global
- Barclaycard has announced a new three-year partnership with Global, the Media and Entertainment group
- The partnership includes Barclaycard’s headline sponsorship of Capital Summertime Ball and Jingle Bell Ball, the first time both events have been sponsored together
- This is the latest addition to Barclaycard’s extensive entertainment offering and gives customers access to future presales of the biggest live events in Global’s portfolio, including Capital’s Summertime Ball and Jingle Bell Ball, and Radio X Presents, until 2023
- This year Global and Barclaycard have joined forces to bring music fans the best in entertainment at home with a very special event, The Best of Capital’s Summertime Ball – celebrating eleven years of unforgettable performances on Sky One
Barclaycard has today announced a new multi-year partnership with Global, the Media and Entertainment group, as part of its focus on offering customers access to the best in entertainment.
With people currently spending more time at home, Barclaycard and Capital will run a brand new digital content series to deliver entertainment straight to the sofas of music fans across the UK.
The partnership kicks off with today’s announcement, at 9am on Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp, of The Best of Capital’s Summertime Ball. Celebrating 11 years of unforgettable performances from Capital’s Summertime Ball, a two hour TV show will be broadcast on Sky One as well as streamed live exclusively and worldwide on You Tube, Capital and Global Player from 5pm -7pm on Saturday 16th May.
In December 2020, Barclaycard will be the headline partner for Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball, before Capital’s Summertime Ball with Barclaycard returns in summer 2021 at the brand-new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The new partnership marks the first time that both events have been sponsored together.
Barclaycard will also be the headline sponsor of all Radio X presents gigs until 2023. Previously, some of the UK’s biggest bands and artists including Liam Gallagher, Stereophonics, and Catfish and the Bottlemen have performed intimate shows exclusively for Radio X fans as part of the series. The next Radio X Presents with Barclaycard will be announced in due course.
Barclaycard will also become a hospitality partner at Global’s flagship classical music event, Classic FM Live. The incredible night of classical music takes place twice yearly at the iconic Royal Albert Hall, with the next event expected to go ahead later this year.
The new partnership with Global is the latest addition to Barclaycard’s extensive entertainment offering, which provides savings on thousands of events, including:
